Can I travel anytime with my UK student visa?
The simple answer to that is NO. You cannot travel without considering some important factors to avoid visa cancellation. It is advisable for you to visit your university international student department for proper inquiry about this. In general, you are not allowed to travel during your course work or during the period you are writing your dissertation, except you are traveling for the purpose of research. Even at that, you need necessary document to collect from your institution as you will need them when entering your visiting country and when returning back to the United Kingdom.
There are several things to consider before choosing to explore the world with your UK student visa, but I strongly recommend that let your institution put you through and tell you the best period you can travel. This is important as some institutions may have slightly different policy from another.
